2017 Durham Miners Gala. 8/7 2017.Personal EditThese are some photos I shot at the Durham Miners Gala last year. I was on commission for a couple of trade unions, but once I got my commitments to them out of the way, I went off to have a bit of fun and shoot some pic's for myself. These photos were taken on the racecourse where the speeches take place, and I've often found that the entrance to the field after the speeches a good place to take pictures. Everyon's a bit euphoric after the speeches, and often a bit tipsy too.
